To my wife

Sitting by the Lagoon front watching calmness of the tides, with a sweet sound of wind pipe
Shinning sparkle of the ocean water and simmering tranquillity of the Ijede beach front!
I remembered.
Fishes, Crabs, snappers, oysters

Oyster, oh! The fisherman arrived with daily spoil, happy faces!
Beautiful fishes and all oceanic mammals but,
OOH! The Golden fish the best of them all is missing, somebody murmured Atlantis i panicked!!
But the thought of her somewhere, a shout away fill me with excitement.

If only the Golden fish can jump out of the river and brighten the muddy water full of cat fish, I will be at peace,
Oluchukwu (aka Erika Wuraola) the Golden fish, the Uhuru queen of Atlantis waters!

The mammals miss her presence with a dense Fog over the waters,
Her bright shining white smile,
The brash talking but often gentle smile that made simple things feel so loving.

The difference between Men and Boys...

A boy looks good with his shirt off .
A man looks good because of the way he looks at you.

A boy will smile during the good times .
A man will laugh during the bad.

A boy goes to work because he has to.
A man works because he can.

A boy buys a plasma screen television
A man accumulates a library

A boy will hug you in the kitchen
A man will hold your hand anywhere you're together

A boy knows how to load the washing machine
A man knows what doesn't go in the dryer

A boy can read the grocery list you have written
A man will shop it with you, put it away, and cook anything on it.

A boy will talk to you about lousy day
A man will ask you about yours, and listen.

A boy will read a to do list
A man knows what has to be done.

A boy will buy you flowers
A man will plant them with you.

A boy will tell you what you want to hear
A man will tell you what he has to say.

A boy will share a thought
A man will share his dreams.

A boy will tell you he feels good when he is with you
A man will tell you how he feels when he can't be at your side.

A boy will share intimate moments with you
A man....will share his life.

Forgiveness

For my part I believe in the forgiveness of sin and the redemption of ignorance.

It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend.
It is often easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
When we forgive evil we do not excuse it, we do not tolerate it, and we do not smother it. We look the evil full in the face, call it what it is, let its horror shock and stun and enrage us, and only then do we forgive it.
Humanity is never so beautiful as when praying for forgiveness, or else forgiving another

Some will say I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.
Some will say, I do not bring forgiveness with me, nor forgetfulness. The only ones who can forgive are dead; the living has no right to forget

Holding on to anger, resentment and hurt only gives you tense muscles, a headache and a sore jaw from clenching your teeth. Forgiveness gives you back the laughter and the lightness in your life.

Never forget the three powerful resources you always have available to you: love, prayer, and forgiveness.

Murder is a unique in that it abolishes the party it injures, so that society has to take the place of the victim and on his behalf demand atonement or grant forgiveness; it is the one crime in which society has a direct interest.

I have to ask Allah's forgiveness and not get angry, because they come to me out of love, and it's not fitting that I should turn to them in hatred.

If Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be, and He did die on a cross at a point of time in history, then, for all history past and all history future it is relevant because that is the very focal point for forgiveness and redemption

Well, I've never left my faith - but have I made a lot of mistakes? But was I fortunate that I was brought up in that Catholic Church, where I heard about God's love and God's forgiveness.

In the evening of life we shall be judged on love, and not one of us is going to come off very well, and were it not for my absolute faith in the loving forgiveness of my Lord I could not call on him to come

Forgiveness is the remission of sins. For it is by this that what has been lost, and was found, is saved from being lost again

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.
When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future.

You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well.

He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself; for every man has need to be forgiven. Only then that Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

This Thing Called LOVE

Love... What is love? Love is to love someone
for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.

It doesn't take a reason to love someone,
but it does to like someone. You don't love
someone because you want to; you love someone
because you are destined too. It's because you
fall in Love with them, that you then try to
find a reason, but you always come up with
the answer, No reason!
Say I love you and mean it; don’t just say it because you can.

It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship
and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual
affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it
will not be created for years or even generations.

When we're incomplete, we're always searching for somebody to complete us.
When, after a few years or a few months of a relationship, we find that we're still unfulfilled,
we blame our partners and take up with somebody more promising.

This can go on and on--series polygamy--until we admit that while a partner can add sweet dimensions to our lives, we, each of us, are responsible for our own fulfilment.

Nobody else can provide it for us, and to believe otherwise is to delude ourselves
dangerously and to program for eventual failure every relationship we enter.”

Just because you know someone doesn't mean you love them,
and just because you don't know people doesn't mean you can't
love them. You can fall in love with a complete stranger in a
heartbeat, if God planned that route for you. So open your heart
to strangers more often. You never know when God will throw
that pass at you.

Many of our young ladies do not realize just how strong
her love for a young man is until he fails to pass
the approval test with her parents.

"Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing; a confusion of the
real with the ideal never goes unpunished

Never say goodbye when you still want to try.
Never give up when you still feel you can take it.
Never say you don't love a person when you can’t let go.

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone,
an hour to like someone, and an day to love someone...
but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go
